TaxRefit collects basic user details (Name, Email Address, optional Phone & City) solely for account management, authentication via One-Time Password (OTP), and publishing user-submitted tax questions or answers.

2. What We Never Do With Your Data

• We never sell or rent your personal contact information to third-party brokers.
• We never charge professionals for profile visibility, search rankings, or algorithm boosts.
• We never reveal user or professional contact info on public pages. Contact info is exchanged strictly when both parties explicitly accept an engagement request.

3. Granular Consent Controls

In accordance with Section 6 of India's DPDP Act, non-mandatory processing (such as marketing emails or analytics tracking) is strictly optional and defaulted to OFF. You can update or withdraw your consent at any time via your Consent Dashboard.

4. Your Right to Access, Correction & Erasure
